Meet Rev Manganye, a God fearing husband, father, preacher and a gifted vocal talent based in the East of Johannesburg, South Africa.
An ordained pastor at the at the African Methodist Episcopal Church Rev Manganye is also a chaplain in the South African National Defence Force designated to uplifting the morale of solders as well as providing the necessary counselling.  During his deployment to Sudan, Rev Manganye established a choir amongst the deployed soldiers as a coping mechanism. It is here that his true passion for music was unleashed.

With strong presence, this Episcopal music director is larger than life and is often identified with white clerical attire, signature shades, and a cross necklace. The same presence is carried in all his songs as his bold yet mellow voice commands the listener’s attention while gentle enough to invite one to partake on the message being delivered through song. Indeed, craftmanship echoes through all his contemporal gospel arrangements and compositions. 

Known for having filled-up The Carousel, in Hammanskraal, Rev Manganye has made it a culture to stage his own shows across the country. He performs regularly at various churches as well as at the South African National Defence Force events. Rev Manganye has 3 albums under his belt namely: Prayer For Africa (2002), He Touched Me (2014) and recently More Than A Conqueror (2019).

Rev Manganye has shared a stage with the likes of Matema, Vicky Vilakazi, Sello Malete, Siya Jobe, Neyi Zimu and Omega.  In his latest live recorded offering ‘More Than A conqueror’, Rev Manganye is busting with  original compositions as well as rearrangements of classic hyms made popular by Amadodana.
